The owners of this residence were looking to transform their existing, compartmentalized kitchen into a more open gathering space that would better support their love of cooking and entertaining. The redesign of the space focused on the opening up of the individual social spaces into a single room for the living room, dining room and kitchen with a large new island that will enhance the owners’ ability to entertain through a social cooking experience. Additionally, the use of neutral materials and contemporary cabinetry allow the extensive collection of artwork around the home remain the focal point of the interior.
Updated features include new wood flooring and lighting fixtures throughout, as well as solar tubes for natural light and an enlarged kitchen with new cabinets and a sizable island.
