As a Principal of Studio Steinbomer, Robert was integral to the office’s work. Acting as lead designer, guide, and advisor to both the client and firm, Robert helped to facilitate a smooth design process and quality assurance in each stage of a project’s development. Robert A. Steinbomer, AIA, has been recognized for design and artistic talent throughout architecture school and professional practice. His 32 years of architectural and project management experience is enhanced by seven years of hands-on construction experience before graduating with Highest Honors in architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.

Robert has continued volunteer involvement in the non-profit community and arts organizations in Austin and his hometown of Lockhart, TX. Robert is an active member of the Lockhart community, providing pro-bono assistance to local nonprofit groups in need of ADA upgrades, architectural services, or shoring up historic buildings. His mutually respectful relationship with long-time residents informed his work, always focused on Lockhart’s priorities and values.

Although retired, Robert is the foundation upon which all our projects, culture, and practices are built. We follow his example when communicating with clients and will continue to honor his commitment to the organization.
