The Clearock Residence is a custom, contemporary renovation and second story addition to an existing residence built in 1974. The owners were looking to open up the existing interior spaces, as well as, add a master suite and family room to better accommodate their living patterns and growing family. The 2nd story addition was built over the existing footprint to best preserve the many, large trees surrounding the house.
The scope of work included a renovated kitchen and living room, a new home office, a new master suite, and a new family room. The use of local, neutral materials in a contemporary way allowed for the resulting structure modernize the existing style of the house, while maintaining an unimposing feel from the street and preserving the character of the surrounding neighborhood.
